An emergency appendicectomy is best performed wihtin 24 hours of attack and can be done upto 48 hours without much risk.But here in India patients and parents do not uderstand the need even after the advice of the surgeon. and thhe golden time period for emergency surgery passes away,  They dictate the type of treatment to be offered much to the dissatisfaction of the treating surgeon.Conservative treament means treating without surgery.This is a type of expectant treatment and may not halt the progress of disease in several occassions.
