Fat in Hip is Different from Abdominal Fat

Fat CellsFat cellsIt has been seen that the pears are better than apples. That means increased hip circumference is better than increased waist circumference.
A new research says the mechanism of accumulation of fat in the waist and hip are different. In waist it is the fat cells that expand to accumulate fat whereas in hip the cells divide in number to accumulate the fat.
It is probably the mechanism of accumulation of fat that affects the quality of fat and make them different. One being deleterious and the other good for health.
