ANXIETY

The anxiety of undergoing next day surgery has to be alleviated at present by the surgeon only .Anxiety causes loss of sleep and apprehension. Good pre-operative counselling of the patient and adding some anti-anxiety drugs will do the work.In this regard the work of medical social worker and para-medical staffs is essential. And till now this aspect of appointment of counseller in many hospitals has not been looked into.
