Now researchers say diet low in carbohydrate is a little better than low in fat. Carbohydrate, if taken in excess gets converted to fat and stored. But, at the same time if diet will be high in fat the beneficial effect of low carbohydrate will be lost. It is better, benefits from both the diets are reaped together. Complex carbohydrate i.e. not refined as sugar, the whole cereal along with proportionately more unsaturated fat and balanced in protein will help to loose weight. Added to it, diet less in salt as recommended in DASH, i.e. dietary approach to control hypertension, a Mediterranean diet; a little negative calorie balance and adequate physical exercise will be more beneficial.
